There are many reasons that Little Miracles supports children with additional needs, disabilities or life-limiting conditions who are out of education. 

• A child might be on a waiting list for a specialist school that has reached capacity due to a national lack of suitable placements
• They might display challenging or disruptive behaviour and need to be in a specialist environment with dedicated support to keep themselves and others safe. Again, there may be a waiting list.
• The child may have unique, complex needs, support for which might be hard to find. Mainstream schools might also not be able to meet the child's needs
• The child's EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) may not be fit for purpose and does not reflect the reality of their requirements

At Little Miracles we provide tailored educational and social support for children whilst helping their families get the support they need.

Our aim is always to help the family get their child into a suitable a long-term placement whilst providing a safe, inclusive setting and the education they need.

Helping to navigate 'The System'

At Little Miracles we can help you with the following aspects surrounding education:

• EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plan) - ensuring that your child has a plan in place or that their existing plan is fit for purpose
• Early Help Assessments - helping you give professionals the information they require to assess the support that might be needed by your child at the beginning of your journey
• Needs Assessments - helping you identify the support your child will need at school and get them into a suitable placement
• Mediation - we can attend meetings and mediate between your family and the school to ensure the best outcome for your child
• Reintegration plans - providing advice and support to help you get a child who is out of school into a suitable, long-term placement
• Delivering education for your child until a suitable placement is available

Families can self-refer to us or referrals can be made through the child's school or local authority.
