Downham Market lets foam darts fly at branch opening event!

On Wednesday 19th February we opened our newest branch in Downham Market!
At the fully booked launch event, families of children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions came together to play and build friendships. Whilst the parents and caregivers connected, the children got to creatively build team dens and participate in a fun game of Nerf Wars. We're still picking up those foam darts!
The team also set up arts and crafts, and had a quiet sensory corner for the kids to enjoy. At Little Miracles, every member brings a unique story, but the support we give means that no one has to go through their journey alone.
Danii, our Downham Market branch lead said:
"We have been members of Little Miracles for about a year and love attending events. They provide a place where my son is not only accepted and able to be himself, but a place he doesn't have to mask, and feels safe. I also get to be around other people who understand how I'm feeling as a parent of a child with additional needs. Little Miracles has given us access to places and events we wouldn't normally be able to access due to my son's additional needs. I'm very excited to be able to bring events and activities like this to Downham Market as I believe there is such a need for it. So many parents and caregivers are in a similar position as me and I believe that with Little Miracles we can provide support and activities where it is needed."
Our Downham Market branch has lots of exciting activities planned once the children have gone back to school. To see what they are getting up to and how you can get involved, keep an eye on the Downham Market Branch page on our website!
