Little Miracles Football Team braves the weather and takes Fenland by storm

Over the last year, some of our young people who attend Fenland Youth Club have braved the elements and been meeting every Tuesday at March Town Cricket Club to take part in football training.
Sessions began after one young man expressed an interest in playing but, like many of his now teammates, had found social interaction challenging.
Little Miracles approached March Town FC who agreed to help coach a team. A year later, both boys and girls form the 'Miracle Squad'; a group of friends who train on a weekly basis and are coached by Aaron from the club. Sessions are proving so popular that there is a waiting list, and the team are hoping to move into league games with other disability teams.
Football not only gives our young people the opportunity to develop skills and socialise outside of school, but it is also excellent exercise and helps those who struggle to regulate their behaviour and emotions.
"Over the last 12 months, Little Miracles Charity, All Inclusive Football Coaching and Hampton United have helped to transform our son into a young man who now has the confidence to interact with others socially and become part of a team and understand that he can achieve things he otherwise didn't believe he could. Thank you"
Frank, Little Miracles Parent
The team are looking forward to a tour of Peterborough United ground during February half-term and are also going to be on the pitch alongside the mascot at future March Town matches!
The 'Miracle Squad' clearly have very exciting future ahead and we can't wait to see what comes next!
"Well, what can I say? What a fantastic term with our football gang! Absolutely superb tonight. Once upon a time, our young people didn’t know each other. Time together, listening, learning, teamwork, patience, respect, and most of all having fun, has brought them to this point. Team Little Miracles!
What a journey, what a team. Thank you to you all for your time and commitment to bringing your children and braving the cold. This is what dreams are made of, and the expressions on their faces and the team photo just says it all. Thank you again to Aaron, without him, this wouldn’t be possible. Thanks for everything you do for us"
