Students from St Ivo Academy organise fundraising fun day!
On July 5th, St Ivo Academy held an event for their students over lunch to have fun and raise money for two charities, Little Miracles, and Young Minds. The students picked Little Miracles as one of their chosen charities as they wanted to help children in their local community of St Ives, and the opening of a new branch in the area. In addition, the academies House System is also made up of bright colours similar to the Little Miracles rainbow logo!
On the day, students played Just Dance-athon, Canteen Karaoke, Beat the Goalie, Coconut Shy’s and even got to sponge their teachers in stocks! Competitions, quizzes and bake sales organised by the heads of each house also took place on the day. The day was a resounding success! Here is what some of the teachers at St Ivo’s had to say about the event:
“Honestly this was such a lovely lunchtime today. Such a lovely event. Well done to all students and head of houses .”
“Such a lovely atmosphere around school this lunchtime.”
“Brilliantly organised by our Heads of House, lots of fun and money raised for good causes. Well done St Ivo.”
Thank you to everyone who organised, participated, and supported this fun event which raised an amazing £168.
Little Miracles provides vital support to families who have children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions and this donation will help us continue our essential work and make a difference to the lives of many families.
